Stella Says...

We just can't get enough of this little girl. Will Jeremy and I ever stop looking at each other smiling with that look of, "Ahhhhh, she is just too cute,"  because of the things she says and does? I hope not. I cannot imagine our lives without her. Here are a few things I want to document:

Last night when we said family prayers, Stella insisted on doing it by herself. Up to this point, I have always told her what to say. She blessed Mommy, Daddy, Stella, Uncle Mac (whom she is obsessed with lately), her birthmother, and the missionaries then we helped her with the rest. (Sorry for those of you that didn't make the cut--don't take it personally!) There is nothing like hearing your child pray for the first time by themselves. Total proud mommy moment!

Stella has been going to The Little Gym (gymnastics for toddlers). She's the child who always leaves the group and does her own thing--which is why we love Little Gym--it's totally acceptable!  She loves to hang from the bars or rings. The other day, she kept hanging from the rings, dropping to her bottom, then yelling, "Stella okay!" Over and over.

Stella loves to sing and is always making up songs. She likes to do what we call "a big finish" where at the end of the song, she holds out the last note, sings really high, and shakes her head as she sings. You really need to see it.

I've suspected that Stella is a little drama queen. The other day, when she was playing with the neighbor boys, it was confirmed. I saw that Stella wanted a toy, and when one of the boys didn't give it to her, she screamed bloody murder and started crying--tears and all. The first time, we all thought she was hurt. The second time, I told her not to cry unless she was hurt. We're still working on that one.
