Meramac Caverns

When our friends were here from Utah, we went to Meramac Caverns.  (I am now just posting, because I kept forgetting to get these pictures off of Jer Bear's phone.  Yes, you can call him that, too.)  The caves are about 40 minutes from where we live and are best known for being the hide-out for Jesse James.

We wished the tour gave more history on Jesse James and his gang, but they just briefly mentioned it.  We thought the cave was interesting, but it's not something we would go to again.  I kind of think that if you've seen one cave, you've seen them all as opposed to shopping--the inventory is always changing. (Just an observation.)

Stella did a good job on the tour, but she had most of her fun in the gift shop trying to grab handfuls of rocks that were for sale.  We really could have saved the $50 tour fee and bought her a $2 rock.  She would have been more excited about that!
Here's a shot of the fam before entering the cave.
Stella & Jeremy...she really likes his ears.
Can you guess who this is?
